I was saddened by your story and how someone could be so callous as to take one of life's most precious gifts away from you. My ex has recently told me he no longer wanted to be a part of our beautiful 4 year old daughter's life. Fortunately for her, my wonderful husband loves her more than life itself and is grateful for every moment he can spend with her.

Good Luck in your fight. Caleb is surely blessed to have someone who loves him as much as you do.

I am so disgusted by this law! Having been a single mother for years, I find it INSANE that you, a fathr who wants to see and take care of is son, is not legaly allowed to do it!
How can they do this to you OR your son?!
I am completly outraged!
I will pray for a good outcome to this for you! This law needs to be changed immediatly!

I really hope that things are resolved. There are so many stories of men running away from their children, and it is wonderful to see a man fighting for his child. I wish you best of luck in your pursuit of what is right.

I don't understand how they can take rights away from a father who is trying so hard to be a part of his son's life. It just seems so unfair both to your son as well as to you. I pray you get to be in your son's life soon. In time he'll know all you have done for him & love you so much for it! Keep on fighting for your son-we wish you all the very best!

I am amazed that such a law exists. I can't believe that a father willing and wanting to be there is being denied. I hope you win the fight.

I feel for you. I know somewhat of your pain. My ex-wife (for my birthday) sent me on a surfing trip with some high school buddies I had not seen in years. When I came back, she had taken almost all of our posessions and had left the state. She then filed a protective order claiming abuse. I had never so much as yelled at her in our marriage. Because of the protective order I was unable to see my daughter for three months. I now drive out of state every weekend to see my daughter for a few hours. Our legal system is corrupt. Anybody can lie, cheat, steal, and get away with it. I have borrowed and begged money from family and friends to refute her allegations. The fact is, he who has the most money wins. It is so unfortunate for fathers who love their children that the legal system is so messed up. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. Caleb is fortunate to have such a loving and caring father.

You and Caleb will be in my prayers. It saddens me to think that a father that wants to be in his sons life is being shut out. There are fathers out there that don't deserve to be called father yet they have rights to their kids. Then there are daddy's like you that are being denied that right. Whats wrong with our gov..
I passed this web page to everyone in my address book in hopes that they will also contact legislation. Good Luck and God Bless you.

Your a very strong man, I wish you all the luck in the world to get your child back. Try sending letters to Opera and get on the show! It would be a wonderful thing that would help you tremendously. Try it out.

Bill- You are one amazing father, even thought Caleb doesn't know it yet, he will someday though. You will be able to see him. I know because you are going over and beyond efforts almost any father would do to see their son. Keep the pressure on for as long as it takes, it will be worth it in the long run. And like everyone else in this guestbook, if you need help in any way, give me a call. Good luck.
